Holly Tucker is a talented 15 year old country singer from Lorena who is making waves in the music world. She just returned from a trip to Nashville to record some new songs. Last year Holly recorded her 1st full length CD ’It’s About Time’ at Dick Gimble’s studio in Crawford. Seven original songs by Baylor graduate, Chris Wommack, are included on the CD. In addition to writing songs, Chris holds the position as Associate Pastor for Music Ministry at First Baptist Church, Woodway.

Holly performs all over the Waco area from karaoke night at Texas Tea and Coffee in McGregor in front of less than a dozen people to singing the Star-Spangled Banner for the Lady Bears basketball team in front of about 8,000 people, to singing the National Anthem at Fourth on the Brazos in front of over 20,000 people.

Holly also plays piano and alto sax studying with well known Waco musicians and teachers Mary Bashara and Greg Bashara.

Holly is singing at the Gospel Music Celebration (GMC) on Sun. Aug. 17 at 6:30 pm at the Searsville Country Church. Admission is free and the public is invited. Her parents Johnny and Cheryl Tucker will also be singing. The Tucker family trio began singing in harmony when Holly was two years old.
