“Being an artist in the music industry is not for the faint of heart - there are days and moments it can absolutely wreck you emotionally, and you wonder why you keep putting yourself through it. I’ve had some of my darkest times because of music-related situations, obstacles, and relationships. But - if you live and breathe it, can’t imagine ever doing anything else, don’t have a plan B, and know without a shadow of a doubt that it’s your God-given life’s calling - then even in your lowest moments, that knowledge constantly fuels the fire within and brings confidence and peace.” - Holly
In her personal time, Holly, her husband Spencer and their Mini Australian Shepherd, Maverick, enjoy time at home and with family and going on walks together. She is very passionate about health and strength training, and helping lead worship on the praise team at her home church in Waco, First Woodway.
Holly also has a huge heart for helping others and giving back. She has engaged with several non-profit organizations including: The American Heart Association, Meals on Wheels and Fuzzy Friends Waco. In 2017, after Hurricane Harvey swept through Texas leaving Houston and nearby coastal cities and towns in ruins, Holly launched her own “Martin Goes To Harvey” Campaign, collecting fellow country artists’ signatures on a beautiful new Martin guitar, which she then raffled, raising thousands of dollars for relief efforts. Holly also does various speaking engagements, and makes regular visits to area hospitals, businesses, and schools, inspiring others with her music, strong values, genuine conversation, and musical journey.
The 2013 Season 4 of the NBC hit reality show The Voice, was loaded with the most talent ever assembled on national television, for an extended music competition. Enter Holly Tucker, an American Country Music singer and songwriter. Out of 40,000 contestants who auditioned for the producers, in eight cities across America, during the summer of 2012, Holly was one of 120 who earned the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to sing for the Grammy Award winning "coaches", Shakira, Usher, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton, in preparation for the Season Premier, March 25th. Holly was first seen on Episode 3 of show, April 1st, during the Blind Auditions, where she sang the Bob Dylan song most recently recorded by Adele, "To Make You Feel My Love". Remarkably, all four coaches turned their chair around, signifying that they all wanted Holly to choose to them as their coach. This was an accomplishment in itself, as only 5 other contestants out of 120 auditions received all four coaches' complete acceptance. Holly chose country music star Blake Shelton to be her coach. Blake later selected 9-time, Grammy Award-winning crossover artist Sheryl Crow as the mentor for "Team Blake".
From the Blind Auditions, Holly advanced to the Battle Rounds, which were broadcast from Monday, April 15th, through Tuesday, April 23rd. There she competed against fellow team member, and roommate, Michelle Raitzin, from New York, with the Carrie Underwood smash hit song "Blown Away". The victory was bittersweet for Holly, as she was excited to win, but heartbroken that her sweet friend was eliminated so early. Michelle has a very bright future ahead, and Holly wishes her the very, very best.
During the Knockout Rounds, Holly performed Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" against teammate Luke Edgemon, singing "Teenage Dream". Holly won this Knockout Round decisively, to advance to the the Live Singoffs, which aired from Monday, May 6th, through Wednesday, May 8th. Contestants were asked to sing a stripped-down version of a song, in order to concentrate on their voice. The Tuesday show aired Teams Shakira and Blake, where Holly sang the Leeann Rimes, Trisha Yearwood dual top ten classic, "How Do I Live". The Wednesday edition was the results show where one member from each team was eliminated. Holly advanced to the Top 12.

THE VOICE
“My time on 'The Voice' was an incredible chapter in my life"
The Top 12 performed on Monday, May 13th, where Holly sang Martina McBride's "A Broken Wing" and advanced to the Top 10. During that week, she also preformed with Blake Shelton, and his other finalists Danielle Bradberry and The Swon Brothers, on "Play Something Country", by Brooks and Dunn, in a non-competition showcase.
The Top 10 performed for two hours on Monday, May 20th, with results broadcast on Tuesday, May 21st. Sheryl Crow returned to coach Team Blake, and help coach and encourage Holly to showcase her deep, gospel southern roots. Holly delivered what has been described as her "defining moment", with the classic hymn, "How Great Thou Art". The timing of her song choice could not have been more encouraging, or appropriate, as the show was dedicated to the people who lost their lives from an EF5 tornado in Moore, Oklahoma, that very morning. Holly also preformed Alabama's "Mountain Music" with her Team Blake, in a non-competition performance. Two contestants were eliminated, and Holly advanced to the Top 8.
The Top 8 performed on Monday, May 27, and received the results on Tuesday, May 28th. Holly competed with The Band Perry's "Done". That Monday evening, Memorial Day, was her Grandfather, Silas' 79th birthday, and she was blessed to have him in attendance where live interviewer Christina Milian invited them to the in-studio "skybox" for a live, national interview. In another non-competition performance, Holly joined Amber Carrington, Danielle Bradberry, and The Swon Brothers on the Sugarland hit, "Something More", and joined Sheryl Crow, with the rest of Team Blake, on Cheryl's latest single, "Easy". Holly closed out the show, that Tuesday, with Amber Carrington singing the Reba McIntyre/Linda Davis duet, "Does He Love You".
The Top 6 performed two songs each on Monday, June 3rd, and received the results on Tuesday, June 4th. Each contestant sang one song, one of their choice, and one of the coach's choice. In a surprise announcement, only one contestant would be eliminated this week, instead of the anticipated two contestants. Holly opened the show with Blake's choice of the Martina McBride song "When God-Fearin' Women Get the Blues". She later preformed her choice of Rascal Flatts' "My Wish". That Tuesday, Holly performed in a non-competition showcase, with The Swon Brothers, on "Leave the Pieces", by The Wreckers. At the end of this episode, she was eliminated, and did not advance to the Top 5 of the competition.
Holly was then invited back for the finale of The Voice, June 18th, where she performed with the finalists, and other top 16 artists "Home" by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Later in the program, she performed David Bowie's "Stars Tonight", with The Swon Brothers, Amber Carrington, and Justin Rivers. Holly was also able to showcase her saxaphone playing skills during the song "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" vocally performed by Top 16 contestants Josiah Hawley, Kris Thomas, Vedo, and Garrett Gardner.
"My time on the voice was an incredible chapter in my life", says Holly, during a candid post-elimination interview. "It opened my eyes, as an artist, gave me more confidence to take the stage, and propelled me further down the road to becoming the country music artist I have been pursuing for much of my life. I am so grateful for all the people who supported me during my journey!" Holly then spoke directly to her fans and supporters. "I couldn't have done it with out you! I continue to feel all your love and support, even after the show has ended! Thank YOU, from the bottom of my heart! While my time on The Voice has come to a close, I am confident that the best is yet to come! Stay connected with me, and watch for new music very soon!!!"
